Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about getting a translation

How fast will I get a quote?
We respond same-day on business days. The final quote speed depends on the length and complexity of the project scope.
How is pricing calculated?
We build each quote around the specifics of the job: content volume (word count), language pairs, file format and complexity, and any production add-ons like desktop publishing, voiceover, or subtitling. Standard requests receive a quote within 1–4 business hours; complex or high-volume projects may take up to 24 hours.
Can you handle rush work?
Rush fees may apply depending on the deadline, but we always seek the most cost-effective solution before applying rush pricing. Standard turnaround guidelines give a sense of scale: one linguist can translate roughly 2,000–2,500 words per business day per language for standard content, and larger volumes are managed by assigning multiple linguists in parallel to compress the timeline.
Is my information kept confidential?
Every employee, translator, and editor signs a Non-Disclosure Agreement and a confidentiality agreement as part of onboarding, legally binding them to maintain discretion regarding all client work.
Your files themselves never leave Argo Translation's controlled environment. Project files move through the secure Argo Translation Customer Portal (ACP), and translators don't receive files directly; they work within our secure, cloud-based Translation Management System hosted on Microsoft Azure, with no files emailed or stored locally. All file exchanges happen within that encrypted environment, and all system calls between platforms are API-based and secured within our IT infrastructure.
