What does Argo Translation's document translation service include?
We translate the words, restore the layout, and quality-check the result. A native-speaking linguist translates your content while our desktop publishing team rebuilds the design page-for-page in your original file. Every project includes a dedicated project manager and a final QA review, so you receive editable, publication-ready files that match the source.
What file formats and design software do you support?
We work in all major design and office formats. That includes Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, FrameMaker, and Acrobat (PDF); Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher; and QuarkXPress. We also handle plain text, HTML, XML, XLIFF, and JSON. Final deliverables are returned in the original file type unless you request otherwise.
How many languages can you translate documents into?
We provide document translation in over 80 languages, covering the major European, Asian, Middle Eastern, and African languages. We adapt to the linguistic and graphic conventions of each target country, including text expansion, font compatibility, line breaks, and reading direction. If you don't see a specific language, please contact us, as we are always expanding our language offerings.

We hold ISO 9001:2015 (quality), ISO 17100:2015 (translation services), ISO 13485:2016 (medical devices), and ISO 18587:2017 (machine translation post-editing). We are also a member of the American Translators Association (ATA) and ASTM International. These registrations are verified through third-party audits and govern our entire production process.
How do you ensure translation accuracy and consistency?
All work is completed inside our secure cloud-based Translation Management System, so linguists never use their own tools on your content. Every project is assigned to native-speaking subject-matter linguists, and project managers run QA checks against standards set per project type. Client glossaries, style guides, and translation memory keep terminology consistent across projects.
How long does it take to translate a document?
Turnaround depends on word count, number of languages, and complexity. As a guideline, one linguist translates roughly 2,000 to 2,500 words per business day per language. Most projects under 5,000 words finish in one to two business days, with larger volumes handled by adding linguists. A confirmed timeline comes with every quote, and rush service is available.
How is document translation priced?
Pricing is driven by word count, the number of target languages, file complexity, and the desktop publishing required to rebuild your layout. Translation memory lowers cost over time by reusing previously approved content, so you are billed only for new or changed text on updates. Rush fees may apply, but we look for the most cost-effective solution first.
