When guests or staff translate information themselves, accuracy and consistency are out of your hands. A menu, a sign, and a chat reply can each describe the same room or fee a different way.

One language program for live conversations and content

Booking pages, printed materials, and staff resources change on different schedules. Live conversations are harder to review because guest chats, reservation calls, front-desk exchanges, and staff meetings happen in the moment.

Argo Translation coordinates guest and staff communication across channels. Your team answers guest messages while Chat Translation handles the language. Phone or video interpretation supports guest calls and staff meetings. Integrations, glossaries, and past translations keep recurring terms consistent.

KDS case study

How KDS made Neo readable in nine languages

KDS, now part of American Express Global Business Travel, translated the in-app content of its Neo travel and expense application through Argo Translation, working inside the web-based translation tool its team already knew. Action buttons, tooltips and warning messages were translated into nine languages, and users found travel and expense information in their own language.

Two paths

Travel & hospitality with and without a translation partner

Without a partner

Guests rely on their phone to translate your booking page.

Language coverage depends on who is on shift and which languages they speak.

Signs and chats use different terms for the same thing.

Your team rebuilds the language process whenever content changes.

Guest and staff content all get the same review, whatever the risk.

With a partner

Your booking page is clear in the languages your guests use.

Your agents answer in more languages inside the tools they already use.

Your signs and chats use the same approved terms.

Previously approved wording is reused, while revised wording is translated again.

Guest and staff content gets the level of translation and review it needs.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about travel & hospitality translation

Which parts of the guest experience should we translate first?
Start with the places where a guest needs information to take the next step: your booking flow, check-in signs, wayfinding, and the channel guests use to contact you. Then translate menus, attraction guides, and in-room information. Handle employee policies, training, and benefits as a separate track based on legal risk and how often the material changes.
What affects the cost of travel & hospitality translation?
There isn't one flat price. Cost depends on word count, languages, file format, turnaround, and the level of human review you choose. Human translation with independent review fits high-stakes content people will use repeatedly. AI-assisted translation can lower the cost of high-volume content, while reusing approved translations can reduce the cost of repeated wording.
Can you translate live guest messages outside normal business hours?
Chat Translation can run whenever your live chat channel is available. The translation workflow supports the conversation; your support team or existing response system still provides the answer. Chat Translation uses AI and a glossary of your company's approved terms to translate messages inside the support system your team already uses. Before launch, approve the room names, rate names, fees, and policies that must stay exact. After launch, your team can periodically spot-check a sample of translated conversations to confirm the translation workflow uses those terms as expected.
Can you work with our website platform or booking engine?
Argo Translation's integrations support content, support, collaboration, and e-commerce platforms, including WordPress, Drupal, Shopify, Sitecore, and Adobe Experience Manager. Your team can trigger translation by tagging content, changing its status, or taking another action in the platform. If your booking engine or content system isn't listed, name it in your quote request so we can confirm the right workflow.
Can we use AI to translate guest messages?
Yes. Chat Translation uses AI for live guest messages, where speed matters during a conversation. A glossary helps keep room names, rates, and policies consistent. For menus, policies, benefits, signage, and other content people will rely on repeatedly, we recommend human translation and a level of review appropriate to the risk.
